long story short, under the guise of "preventing copyright infringement" the record companies are in cahoots with the government to invade our privacy and police social networking to ban anyone who is accused of copyright infringement [not even with evidence like some crazed witch hunt] from using the internet. It sounds like a chapter out of some loose screwed conspiracy theorist's notebook but it's true as much as I can't believe it. Some say it's nothing, it's righteous, there's no problem. Wrong, it's the start of a big problem. This is just the first step to warm us up like a toad in a cool pot of water, slowly brought to a boil the corporations and politicians have bred our society to live under the teat with their cell phones and ipods and faux justice. Using their money and power to shove and intimidate us back and into submission. If they wanted to sue a little old granny to hell and back because someone used her internet to download a song they could put her away for 25 years if they had the will. This is the start. They're going to say it isn't so bad when we 'compromise' again and again and again before we don't even realize what we've let happen, just like we've ignored something climate change. It's happened so slow that when it finally starts spiraling out of control we don't even realize it until it's much, much to late. Put your feet down, spread the word and don't let these weasels dictate our mediums of expression and our lives just to cover their own hides.
